         Bobby Thigpen, Sr., has professionally owned and operated Thigpen Photography in Suffolk, Virginia, since 1998.  He earned a B. S. in Business Administration degree from Columbia College in 1995.  He won several awards at the Virginia Professional Photographers Association Annual Convention's Print Competition, including a First Place and a Court of Honor in the Creative category.  He has been married to Sandra, his wife of 36 years, and they have four children and eight grandchildren.

         Bobby is a member in good standing of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the Virginia Professional Photographers Association (VPPA), the Southeastern Professional Photographers Association (SEPPA), the International Freelance Photographers Organization (IFPO), and the Kodak Promise of Excellence Program.
